Progress:
Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4 work areas are substantially complete. Demolition in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas is nearing completion. Concrete and utility work in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas are underway, with utility work expected to be complete by the end of the week.
Next Steps:
Work in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas began on Monday, July 20.New curb/gutter and sidewalk construction commenced at Babe's Doughnuts and will continue to progress to the south.
Upcoming Impacts:
The inside southbound lane of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street is closed for the duration of the project.The southbound lanes of Greensboro Avenue and adjacent parking between University Boulevard and Gary Fitts Street are closed within the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas. The majority of the sidewalk corridor will remain open along the west side of Greensboro Avenue between University Boulevard and Gary Fitts Street.
Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
