Progress:
Phases 1 - 6 work areas are substantially complete. Utility work in the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas is substantially complete.
Next Steps:
Landscaping work and signage installation continues.Sidewalk work in the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas is nearing completion.Bay parking work in the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas will tentatively be completed on August 31.The lower asphalt layer installation in the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas will be completed by September 3. Temporary roadway striping and interim cleanup/contractor demobilization will be completed by September 4.
Upcoming Impacts:
Gary Fitts Street will be closed from Lurleen Wallace Boulevard North to Greensboro Avenue Thursday, September 3.The southbound lane of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street is closed within the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas.The majority of the sidewalk corridor will remain open along the west side of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street.
Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
