Progress:
The Phase 1 work area is nearing interim completion. Gas relocation has been completed in the Phase 1 and Phase 2 work areas and has begun in the Phase 3 and Phase 4 work areas.

Next Steps:
- Demolition will continue in the Phase 1 and Phase 2 areas.
- Storm drainage, communication conduits, concrete curbs, gutters, parking areas and sidewalks will be installed.
- The crosswalk at Greensboro Avenue and University Boulevard (near Babe’s Donuts and Half Shell Oyster House) is near completion and will reopen soon.
- Gas relocation in Phases 5 and 6 expected to begin the week of May 18, following the completion of gas relocation in Phases 3 and 4.
Upcoming impacts:
- Northbound lanes of Greensboro Avenue between University Boulevard and Gary Fitts Street (6th Street) will remain closed in the Phase 1 and 2 work areas.
- The sidewalk corridor along the east side of Greensboro will remain open with shifts as work continues at building entrances.
- Eastbound and westbound pedestrian traffic along the north side of Gary Fitts Street will detour to the crosswalk near Babe’s Donuts and Half Shell Oyster House after its completion.
- During Phase 3 and 4 gas line relocation, the westernmost southbound lane and adjacent parking will be closed.
- During Phase 5 and 6 gas line relocation, the easternmost northbound lane and adjacent parking between Gary Fitts Street and 7th Street will be closed.

Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
