Progress to date: 

Over the past month, crews have made significant progress in preparing the ground and installing new curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and shared-use paths. Storm drains, sanitary sewer lines, and water lines have been added to modernize aging infrastructure. Work is also underway on the new north retaining wall, including excavation, placement of base layers, and initial wall construction. Asphalt patching and features such as handicap ramps and irrigation lines are now in place. Crews are installing, relocating, and updating utilities. 

Next Steps: 

• Crews will continue building the north retaining wall
• Water lines and storm drains along the south side of University Boulevard East will continue to be installed
• Electrical crews will begin street light base installation 

Upcoming Impacts:

• Continued reduced lanes along University Boulevard East
• Temporary road and intersection closures along University Boulevard East, especially on the north side of the project
