Progress:
Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4 work areas are substantially complete. Demolition and utility work in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas are complete. Sidewalk and roadway work in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 areas are nearing completion.
Next Steps:
The southbound lanes, sidewalk, and adjacent bay parking of Greensboro Avenue in the Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas (University Boulevard to Gary Fitts Street) will be reopened no later than Monday, August 10.Landscaping work on the east side of Greensboro Avenue will tentatively begin the week of August 10. Work in the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas will begin on Monday, August 10.
Upcoming Impacts:
The southbound lane of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street will be closed within the Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas starting August 10.The majority of the sidewalk corridor will remain open along the west side of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street.
Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
