Progress: 

The Phase 1 work area is nearly complete, with bay parking as the final item. Phase 2 is nearing completion, with demolition and storm drainage work wrapping up. Gas relocation efforts are also nearing completion in the Phase 3 and Phase 4 works areas.

Next Steps: 

• Communication conduit, concrete curb, gutter and parking/sidewalk installation will continue in the Phase 2 work area
• Gas relocation will continue in Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas and tentatively begin in Phase 7 and Phase 8 after June 1

Upcoming impacts: 

• Northbound lanes of Greensboro Avenue between University Boulevard and Gary Fitts Street (6^th Street) will remain closed in the Phase 1 and 2 work areas
• The sidewalk corridor along the east side of Greensboro will remain open with shifts as work continues at building entrances
• Eastbound and westbound pedestrian traffic along the north side of Gary Fitts Street will detour north along Greensboro Avenue to University Boulevard
• The easternmost northbound lane and adjacent parking between Gary Fitts Street and 7^th Street will be closed due to gas relocation in Phase 5 and Phase 6 work areas

Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
