Progress: 

The Phase 1 and Phase 2 work areas have reached substantial completion, with new sidewalks and bay parking now in place. Expect the northbound lane of Greensboro Avenue, the adjacent bay parking, and the sidewalk between Gary Fitts Street and University Boulevard to reopen by Saturday, June 6. In Phase 2, demolition and storm drainage work is complete, with curb/gutter and sidewalk work progressing. Gas relocations in Phase 3 and Phase 4 has also reached completion.

Next Steps: 

• Demolition, storm drainage, and new sidewalk work will continue in Phase 3 and Phase 4
• Gas relocation will continue in Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas

Upcoming impacts: 

• Northbound lanes of Greensboro Avenue between 7th Street and Gary Fitts Street (6^th Street) will be closed starting Monday, June 8
• The sidewalk corridor along the east side of Greensboro will remain open with shifts as work continues at building entrances
• Eastbound and westbound pedestrian traffic along the south side of Gary Fitts Street will detour south along Greensboro Avenue to 7th Street
• The westernmost southbound lane and adjacent parking between Gary Fitts Street and 7^th Street will be closed due to gas relocation in Phase 7 and Phase 8 work areas

Pedestrian and local business access will remain open during the duration of the project.
